Wine, a Super Sassy Prosecco Rosé - Perfect Summer Bubbles!
With Prosecco now the most popular sparkling wine style in the
world and Rosé the biggest wine category,
this has to be a very natural progression for a Prosecco Rosé! And this is a beauty. Made (under
direction) by Aussie Simon Babo who together with his wife Anna Pooley make the
wonderful wines from Anna's family vineyards in Tassie.
Way back in 2009
Justin was making wine in Tuscany when he had the idea to make wines under his
own label from some the finest regions of Italy, but with a more 'Aussie' wine
palate in wine, and 'Babo' was born. It has proved to be very successful and his
Prosecco is on many of the best winelists in the country.
Rosé comes from DOC vineyards in
Friuli Venezia Giulia in Italy's North East where the high alps provide the
perfect environment for aromatic style wines and this is a blend of the
'Prosecco Grape', Glera (89%) and 11% Pinot Nero to give the delicate blush
colour and subtle raspberry & cherry aromas and flavours. It is beautifully
crisp but with elegant and soft fruit notes.
Perfect for Summer and into
Autumn, this does show real Italian style with touch of real Aussie
