From the very talented Nicolas Potel, this is outstanding value 'Villages' Bourgogne that drinks better than many wines twice the price
Importers Notes - "This is once again a testament to Nico's unwavering belief that his Bourgogne is the most important wine in his stable (not a quip about the fact that part of the cellar is indeed an old stable). Sourced from old vines, the average age is around 70 years now. The wine shows uncommon depth of material for its appellation. Richly textured and supple with plenty of darkly fruited and wonderfully appealing character. It becomes a good degree more lively towards the finish and the final wave of fruit is brighter as well. Once again it's a wine of mass appeal and pleasure.
